What is the Independent News Forum?

At its most basic, the Independent News Forum will act as a place for me to publish and showcase my work for a public audience. My work is focused on bringing an unbiased and independent scope to current issues and events worldwide. While I personally will focus on writing about politics, I will aim for this site to include a wide range of stories from varying topics.

The decision to make this site came from the instability of modern news media. With the rise of AI generated content, fake news, politically biased content, and the increasing political divide, modern news media has reached a confusing state. This site will act as barrier for that confusion and hopefully help act as a balance to your daily news diet.

This site was also inspired by the teams over at 6 News, RocaNews, TLDR News, and The Lemonade Stand who have all been instrumental in developing my understanding of modern news media.

My Experience

I am currently a second year journalism student at the University of Technology Sydney. I have been writing my whole life and have had a plethora of experience writing up hard hitting journalistic pieces during my tenure at UTS. I have experience creating pieces in written, audio, and audio visual formats, utilizing programs such as Premier Pro, Adobe Audition, and WordPress.

This site will both allow me to focus my journalistic and writing skills but also provide me a platform to help show off my work to a larger audience. At the moment this page is fully owned, funded, and edited by myself.
